From Nora and Kenny

Gaylene and all of the family,

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Uncle Gabriel. Kenny and I will always cherish the memories at the reunion in California in 2007. Uncle gave us the biggest hug and you could just feel the love exploding from him. One of things we will always remember was when Kenny and I were watching TV one night and all of a sudden there he was big as life on the Discovery Channel talking about the Tsunami's in Hawaii and what it was like. The next day I came home from work and called him right away and told him, Uncle Gabriel you are a star here in Colorado and that we saw him on TV. We then sat on the phone for the next hour as he told me the stories of what had happened and how he was going to the museum to meet a woman that he had saved as a baby from the Tsunami. We will always cherish that story and how much of a hero he truly was. Kenny and I will always remember him as one of the Greatest Men we ever knew. We know he is now at peace and with family and friends. Kenny and I will miss him dearly. May you all find comfort and peace and may God Bless you all. Just remember as I have learned after losing my dear family members take it one day at a time, and with God's help each day will become a little easier.
